Yordin Surgery

We had another opportunity to sponsor a medical surgery. This time the medical team led by Shalom Foundation was down in Guatemala City. Yordin is a wonderful kid with a big smile, he had surgery from endoscopy speech and otoplasty. He is still hospitalized but certainly his life will be different from now on.

Carlos Surgery

We recently had the opportunity to work with the awesome team from The Shalom Foundation to sponsor a surgery in Guatemala. Carlos had a smooth surgery and we are excited to report that he is recovering well.

Here is an update from their blog: Sun, Mar 27: It is our 1st day of surgery! The team operated on 7 patients today. After surgery, our second patient, 12-year-old Carlos, got up, walked down the halls and thanked and hugged every doctor and nurse – very touching. Yes a few eyes started sweating – brought tears to our eyes. What an angel. All of the children and family members are so thankful.
